Master Educator Course

The Leave No Trace Master Educator Course is structured as a train-the-trainer style program and is aimed at educators, Aboriginal land and sea managers, parks and agency staff, guides, tourism operators, teachers, and outdoor recreation group leaders. The course curriculum can be customized to fit local ecological zones. Participants will learn and practice minimal impact skills and ethics in various settings and will learn how to teach Leave No Trace principles to others within their organizations.

The Master Educator Course requires a minimum of four eight-hour days and at least three nights camping in the field. The course focuses on minimal impact skills based on the principles of Leave No Trace and does not teach other outdoor skills.

Upon completion of the course, participants who demonstrate the necessary skills to train Leave No Trace Trainers, conduct outreach programs, or promote the Leave No Trace message effectively will receive a Master Educator certificate from LNTA.
